Meet the Panel

Malcolm Godfrey
Malcolm has worked in the P&I Market for over 40 years, beginning in 1978 with the West of England P&I Club. By 1983, he had set up his own company, Godfrey Merritt & Company, a P&I specialist broker.
In 1993, he joined forces with Ian Robertson to form Godfrey, Merritt, Robertson & Co., where he held the position of Chairman. Malcolm moved to the Heath Lambert Group in 1995, as Managing Director of the Marine department.
In 2005, the P&I business was acquired by Gallagher, where Malcolm assumed his current role of Executive Director and Head of the P&I Division.

Alex Vullo
Alex has over 20 years of experience having started his career in insurance within the Marine Division at Heath Lambert Group. He later joined Gallagher, as a Broker in 2005, where today he is an Executive Director of Marine P&I.
During his 17 years at Gallagher, Alex and the team have built the Gallagher P&I portfolio to become one of the World’s largest book of retail business. In the last 20 years, Alex has developed deep routed relationship at all levels within the P&I market and has vast experience with Owners, Charterers, Offshore operators, transferring risk into the International Group Mutual, as well as the alternative Fixed P&I markets. Alex frequently travels to all of the major shipping hubs, to ensure that our clients receive service excellence, as well as developing and cultivating our client, partner & market relationships.
Having specialized exclusively in the P&I industry for 20 years, Alex is familiar with the necessary high-level service standards and 24/7 dedication that is required to meet our clients’ needs and expectations.

Vincenzo Corsaro
Vincenzo joined the Marine P&I team in a supporting role at Gallagher in 2014. He rapidly gained experience in Owned, Chartered and specialist P&I covers working with a number of Gallagher’s largest accounts.
Most recently Vincenzo gained promotion to Divisional Director and handles both retail and wholesale business across several geographies, with particular focus on Southern Europe and the Far East.

Nick Roblin
Nick joined Gallagher in 2014 and specialises in multiple classes of marine insurance; including H&M, P&I, War, K&R, Loss of Hire and related covers.
He started at Alston Gayler from early 2009 performing various support functions across the P&I and H&M teams, before beginning a 5 year career at Willis in early 2010. Initially employed as an Account Handler on the Greek team, it was not long before the scope of the role grew to include Client facing roles in both Greece and the Middle East.
This involvement in the Middle East coincided with the rise of piracy in the Indian Ocean and as that exposure grew, Nick soon became responsible for the placement of the entire Marine teams’ Kidnap & Ransom book.
Most recently Nick gained promotion to Divisional Director and handles a mostly retail account across several geographies.

William Baynham
William uses his broad experience of a variety of Club and market covers, for both Owners and Charterers to place and manage P&I programs for our clients.
William started his career working at Steamship Mutual P&I Club in 2009 and gained extensive Underwriting experience in both the European and Eastern syndicates, before joining the Gallagher Marine Division in 2014. Whilst working at the Club he also undertook numerous International Group qualification modules and CII exams, all enhancing his in depth knowledge.
William has experience working with a number of leading ship owners and specialist operators, including from the US. He has a deep understanding of complex programs, spanning both the mutual and non-mutual covers and extensions.

Wayne Godfrey
Wayne joined Gallaghers in 2010, primarily working in the Korean and Greek market. His role has expanded over the past years to include developing new markets and developing the Gallagher Global Network.
Whilst delivering the core services required to clients and ensuring all needs are met, Wayne travels frequently to meet clients and prospects as part of our drive to expand our Global portfolio.
Due to the range of markets within his role, Wayne has established good relationships with all of the International Group Clubs and the fixed market.
